San Ramon Newcomers Travel Talk
We held our initial group “Travel Talk” meeting this rainy, leap-day afternoon. Members shared some of their trip highlights. Sharon shared her recent trip up to wine country, staying at the Vintage Inn and visiting the Castle Winery. Jo talked a bit about her trip to Australia. Paula introduced the group to the Road Scholar programs – which are done by Elderhostel and their North American Programs seem to have multiple options in every state plus Canada. Grace shared her love for unstructured adventures into foreign lands. Erica was our cruise resource and shared some of her learning experiences. Susan shared a memorable trip to Cancun and was all psyched up about her upcoming trip to Maui; she shared how she advance researches the areas she plans to visit.
All in all, it was an enjoyable few hours and we decided to meet quarterly and have a “cruise theme” for our next session.
