Montecatini – October Restaurant

MontecantiniWhen: Saturday, October 15th @ 7:30pm

Host: Audrey V.

RSVP: by October 10th, audreyvp {at} sbcglobal(.)net

What Restaurant: Montecatini , 1528 Civic Drive, Walnut Creek, Ca    925 943-6608

Montecatini is near the Dean Lesher Theater in Walnut Creek. It is a Northern Tuscan Italian Restaurant. They serve fish, chicken, veal, & pasta. Some people say it is noisy but I didn’t experience that. Audrey knows the owner and the chef. They both live on her street.

Audrey is planning to go on Wednesday the 12th, about 6:00 pm. If anyone would like to join her let her know and she will make the reservation. You may also make your own reservations at a time that is more convenient for you. Dessert and coffee will be served at the review.

Chevalier Restaurant Lafayette CA

A Taste of France in Lafayette

Chevalier Restaurant Lafayette CAThis month’s restaurant review was hosted by Grace and Wendell at Chevalier in Lafayette.   The owner and chef, Philippe Chevalier (seen here with Christine & Jim), creates exquisite dishes inspired by his home country of France and a dining experience that will keep you coming back.  The ambiance is peaceful and complementary to fine dining and conducive for small intimate meals or groups.

Diablo Magazine continues to rate it a “Winner”.  Since opening in 2008, Chevalier has received two Michelin Bib Awards and was named one of the 10 best restaurants in the East Bay by Diablo Magazine.

After a wonderful evening and an outstanding meal, we all agreed it was a 10!  We highly recommend checking it out which you can do by making a reservation on their website  http://www.chevalierrestaurant.com.

Restaurant Review Group

Each month a hostess picks a restaurant to try out in the Tri-Valley area from Walnut Creek to Livermore. We travel to the restaurant as singles or carpool in small groups and then go back to the selected hostess’ home for dessert and coffee where we then critique the meal, service and ambience.

Members take turns each month hosting the event.  It’s based on the KQED TV program “Check, Please! Bay Area”.  All SRVNC members are welcome with open arms to attend.

Please check SRVNC monthly newsletter for more information.
