Our book will be Secret Daughter by Shilpi Somaya Gowda. The book is about a girl who is adopted out of India by a bi-racial Palo Alto family. The novel follows experiences of her impoverished biological Indian parents and affluent adoptive American parents over the 20 years following her adoption.
