Our book will be The Story of a Marriage by Andrew Sean Greer. The story set in the Sunset District of San Francisco in 1953 is about conflicting loyalties. Pearlie Cook takes care of her son who has polio and her husband who supposedly has a mysterious illness by creating a tranquil, protective atmosphere of isolation around them. Once that tranquility is shattered her marriage may not survive.
