Hi Newcomer Friday Hikers,
Today, June 22, 07, we hiked along Bear Creek Trail overlooking Brionne Reservoir. It was a clear, warm day and the shaded trail provided a perfect place for our hike. We saw maiden hair fern, sticky monkey flower, star flowers, lupine, bush poppies, and tom cat clover to name a few.
It was good to have Julie hiking with us again after about a 6 month hiatus along with two guests, Cindy from Idaho and my sister Donna from Portland. Also hiking were Aleta and Marlene. Marlene had just returned from a trip to France where she hiked 12 to 14 miles a day with the Country Walkers. Way to go Marlene! The other hiker was Sharon.
We hiked between 5 1/2 and 6 miles at a steady pace today. We hiked for a total of two hours. Afterwards were had lunch at Bagel Street Cafe.
Thanks for driving today Aleta,
Happy Trails, Sharon
